Each show has its own audition materials and requirements, but we typically ask that you are able to lipsync selections from the show’s audio that showcase your personality and talent.

You can audition in-person OR by submitting a video audition.

Since these performances are not sung live, being able to deliver an exciting lip sync is CRITICAL, and we want to see that you can perform the words with accuracy and energy!

Audition locations vary by production.

If you are not sure if you can attend in-person, we recommend proactively filming a video audition.

We accept virtual submissions the week leading up to our live auditions for folx who want to prepare a video.

Video submissions should still showcase all of the required sections noted in the audition instructions for that show.

We recommend filming your performances with good lighting, a plain background, and show us your best takes!

We want to see YOU! If you are a drag artist (or are wanting to start) then we would love to see your personal style and aesthetic. Please dress in a way that’s comfortable for you how you would dress to star in your own show!

That’s ok! While we are named Indy DRAG Theatre, we welcome all types of artists and performers! You do not have to have experience with drag or be in drag to perform with our shows.
